In Ender Magnolia, Status Effects can be inflicted by certain attacks, on both Lilac and her enemies.

Logic

When an enemy is hit by an ability that can inflict status effect, a gauge (not displayed anywhere) will be filled by a certain amount (depending on the ability and enemy). When this gauge is full, the status effect will be inflicted and the gauge will be reset. Each effect has it's own gauge. The gauges do not appear to decay over time on their own.
Hitting an enemy with an ability that can inflict status effect when they are already affected by that effect will not extend the duration of existing effect, and will not contribute to filling the gauge.

After an effect expires on an enemy, that enemy gains increased resistance to it, making it harder to inflict it again. This occures every time they are inflicted with it.
If an enemy was not defeated, these resistance increases will be reset when leaving their location (map segment).

This table is not exhastive, but should be sufficient for normal circumstances.

Some relics can increase by how much the gauge is filled when attacking (refered to as "intencity" in their description).

Duration of status effects on enemies is affected by difficulty settings. This page lists values for Normal difficulty (modifier set to 1).
Difficulty settings can also affect enemy status effect resistances. This setting and "progressive resistance" mentioned above are multiplicative.

Existing Effects

Blaze

Blaze is inflicted by attacks associated with fire. It periodically deals damage to those affected based on their maximum HP, until it expires.

On enemies, the duration is sufficient to deal damage ten times. Damage on bosses is significantly reduced.

On Lilac, damage is set to 5% of maximum HP and is dealt a total of 20 times over the duration of 30 seconds. Remaining duration can be reduced by dodging (by around 20% of total duration); Blaze can also be removed instantly by coming in contact with water.

Freeze

Freeze is inflicted by attacks associated with frost.

Enemies affected by freeze become encased in ice, unable to act. Freeze lasts around 5 seconds. Dealing damage to frozen enemies unfreezes them early, but the attack receives a 100% damage bonus (additive with relics). Frost attacks will deal no damage to frozen enemies, and will not extend the duration.

Lilac affected by freeze has her movement speed reduced. The effect lasts around 10.5 seconds.

Shock

Shock is inflicted by attacks associated with electricity.

On enemies, shock reduces damage done by 20% and increases damage taken by 15%, lasting around 15 seconds. For bosses, those effects are reduced to 15% and 10%, respectively.

Lilac affected by shock has both her ATK and DEF reduced by 30%. The effect lasts around 14.5 seconds.
