- For similar terms, see Blight (disambiguation).
The Blight is a primordial force that rots the world of Land's End and transforms its inhabitants into the Blighted. Those afflicted are granted immortality, but they lose their minds and souls, leaving them only animated by the curse. However, there are a few that retain the above.[1]
Lore
The Blight had long existed and was once under control owing to the Ancients, the original inhabitants of Land's End. It was their children, the Priestesses, that contained the Blight with the help of their Deathless Guardians.
In his conquest, the King of the First Age ordered the genocidal slaughter of the Ancients. When he found the last survivor, a mute child who would go on to become the kingdom's first White Priestess, he took her in and raised her out of remorse.[2]
