The Cathedral is the opening area of Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, and serves as the beginning of the game, the story, and the tutorial and also as a key location for unlocking the game's True Ending.

Description

The Cathedral is the first area encountered, where Lily awakens. This massive, dilapidated structure has been abandoned for a long time, evident from the surrounding decay. The partial ruin allows streams of water and raindrops to seep into the damp rooms.

The Cathedral can be divided into two floors. The lower floor consists of long corridor rooms known as the Cathedral basement, littered with piles of stones from former walls, statues, and columns. Wooden supports, hanging ropes and rags, spiderwebs, scattered debris, metal rods embedded in the ground, and overgrown tree branches piercing through passages are common. Storage areas feature stacks of crates, barrels, shelves with pots and glass vials. The corridors are strewn with corpses of long-deceased humans and bloodstains on the walls, hinting at fierce events. Red cloths with the White Parish's emblem—a white circle in a cross-hang from ceilings and columns. Key interior elements include half-ruined and intact statues, some modeled after White Priestesses, and large windows with colorful stained-glass mosaics. The upper floor features living quarters filled with furniture: beds, tables, chairs, hanging shelves with books, kitchenware, glass vases with flowers, and lighting like table and wall candelabras.White Parish's emblems adorn the walls, and at the end of one long room is the Red Emblem with the Lily symbol—the emblem of the Land's End. A pile of crates, sacks, and massive garbage heap leads to the Cathedral's uppermost room. Walls display a portrait of a young girl and a pre-Rain of Death painting of the White Parish. At the room's end lies the corpse of a small White Priestess, one of Fretia's nine clones.

The room where Lily awakens features a pedestal-like structure under an illuminated lamp—the Altar of Beginning. To the left, before a sealed magical door, stand statues of the White Priestess of Dawn and the White Priestess of Wind. Behind the door lies another ruined altar and a descent to Faden's secret room.

Faden's room is filled with living quarters furniture, notable for a candelabra shaped like the White Parish's metal emblem. A tunnel passage overgrown with branches leads to a white pedestal, key for restoring the Luminant Aegis Curio relic.

The Cathedral has two Respite points: "Cellar": A room amid storage corridors littered with corpses and hanging wooden crates on hooks. A wooden bench sits in the center. "Cathedral Cloister": An overgrown bench area with an open alley lined with statues, some ruined by the Rain of Death.

The main Cathedral hall, just before the exit, is home to the Blight-maddened Guardian Siegrid. It is filled with countless candles, bodies of fallen attackers, dried blood on walls, steps, and statues. A massive Cathedral symbol in the background is overgrown with tree branches.

Lore
