Faden, dubbed the Heretic, was the head of the King's Mage Brigade and led the expedition into the Verboten Domain that once served home to the Ancient sorcerers. By investigating the ancient magic responsible for creating the Blight, he hoped to lessen the burden on the White Priestess, Fretia. He is the one responsible for developing the Deathless Elixir that created the Immortal Knights of Land's End.
Lore
A researcher under the King's Mage Brigade, Faden was originally tasked to find a way to alleviate the effects of the Blight on the White Priestess, Fretia. This task sent him and his brigade to the Verboten Domain, where he and his assistant Miriel continued their research.
Eventually, due to the severity of the Blight in the area, Miriel succumbed to its effects, pushing Faden to experiment with prisoners and the Blighted itself in hopes of understanding and reversing the affliction. These experiments resulted in the creation of the Deathless Elixir, and in turn, the Immortal Knights. However, the elixir requires for the subject to have a trace of humanity left in them - Miriel, who had completely transformed at this point in time, was unable to be saved.
Unable to find a cure for the Priestess' affliction, and with her having no successor, Faden turns to creating clones of Fretia, which horrifies Silva, who wonders what will be done with those she calls inferior imitations.[1]
Spirit
As a spirit, Faden fires magical projectiles from sort of organic cannon roughly ellipsoid in shape.
On levels from 1 to 5, three projectiles are released. First one flies direcly forwards, second one is sent forward and down, while the third travels forward and up. Projectiles have no auto-aim, meaning they are unlikely to hit the same target, unless fired from point-blank range.
Projectiles deal 160%, 170%, 180% damage, respectively.
On 6th level, two more projectiles are added. Fourth is sent even farther downwards, and fifth even farther upwards.
Additonal projectiles deal 170% and 165% damage, respectively. Other scalings remain the same.
His Last Rite attack causes a giant claw to surge from the ground at the position of nearest enemy, dealing 900% damage to it and surrounding ones. It will prioritize closest enemy even if it's flying and cannot be reached, potentially missing entirely.
If there is no ground close enough under the target, the claw will appear in air.
This Last Rite attack requires and expends 1 use of the spirit, meaning it cannot be activated if Lily has none remaining.
