Materials are the primary currency in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist. They are the most common form of currency available to the player from the very beginning of the game.
Description
Materials can be used to fabricate items at the craftory.
Arcane instruments are fashioned using magicite, metals, and other such resources.
Usage
Materials are used in Craftories to purchase a wide variety of essential items, including:
- Magic Vials
- Bracelets
- Totems
- Carapaces
- Relics
- Homunculi upgrade materials
- Items that permanently increase Lilac's attributes
The available assortment expands as the player collects pieces of the Grimoire, which are scattered throughout the world. Craftories become accessible in:
- Old City Market — after completing the quest with Yolvan
- Central City — after the first victory over Gilroy
Acquisition
There are several ways to obtain Materials:
Drop from breakable objects
Destroying environmental objects — the most common and renewable method. Breakable objects such as crates, barrels, crystals, vases, plants, ore deposits, lamps, and other destructible items drop Materials. All destroyed objects respawn after visiting a Respite point, making this a stable source of income.
Chests
A non-renewable source within a single playthrough. The amount of Materials found in chests varies depending on the location's difficulty and distance from the starting area.
Relics
- Eye of the Beast — increases the number of Materials dropped from destructible objects by 15–30% (depending on upgrade level).
- Headless Gold Statue — grants a chance to drop Materials from enemies. This method is relatively inefficient on its own and is best combined with the first two methods.
New Game+
Previously collected items that were obtained in the first playthrough are replaced with Materials. The amount received is equivalent to the rarity and value of the original item. This method is rarely used in the endgame, as the need for Materials significantly decreases.
