Verboten Champion is a miniboss and a Spirit.
Acquisition
Verboten Champion can be found two rooms to the left of the"Subterranean Lab B2" Respite. From there, head to the room on the left, then take an upper path from there. Further path on the second location is linear. Unlock action is required to access him.
Battle
During combat, Verboten Champion's primary attack is to swing his claws at Lily in melee range. One swing is made per attack, unlike common enemies of his type, so he does not immediately turn around after making one if Lily moves to behind him.
Another of his melee attacks is an uppercut that is executed without any hint. He will turn around to deliver the uppercut if necessary.
After a brief delay, he can send a shockwave down the earth from a great distance. This attack can be repeated if Lily remains too far away. If she is not, it will almost always be followed by an uppercut.
If Lily is too far away, he will at times leap toward her to get in range.
On NG+, he adds another strike in which he roars and then slams the ground, dealing damage to a large area around him.
Spirit
When summoned, the Spirit will appear beside Lily and make an uppercut attack, injuring foes while also carrying Lily along with him.
On levels 1–5, damage scaling is 200%.
The sixth level splits the damage into seven instances, with a 38% scaling on each for a total of 266%.
This spirit is a valuable exploration tool, effectively allowing for a triple-jump.
